Structure of the Jena Bernstein group:
The whole Bernstein group will consist of more than 16 scientists (junior and senior researchers of the involved research units) and including the BMBF-funded JRG, junior and senior researchers (names) of the involved research units. Therefore, the establishment of this Bernstein group will represent a sustainable improvement of the research structure of the FSU. The Bernstein group will be embedded into an ideal high-technology infrastructure for neuroscientific research. The methodological network consists of the “MRI Imaging Centre” (W. Miltner, J. Reichenbach), a Core-Unit “MR Methodology” (J. Reichenbach), the “Biomagnetic Centre” (BMC) (J. Haueisen), and the IMSID (H. Witte). These research units are supported by a unique equipment setting (three 1.5 T MRIs (Magnetom Vision, Magnetom Symphony, Magnetom Sonata), one 3 T MRI (Magnetom Tim Trio, all Siemens Medical Solutions) exclusively dedicated to research, several dense array MEG and EEG laboratories). Additionally, co-operation with the SPM (Statistical Parametric Mapping analysis and modelling software) laboratory (C. Gaser, new partner of the BG) is established.
